Friendly Reminder: Please keep your water meter pits clean from leaves and debris . This allows the meters to be found and read accurately. 
Mechanicsburg-Buffalo Water Commission was formed in 1961 to enable the communities and outlying areas to construct a water distribution system to serve 402 households. A three phase project was developed in early 2000 to improve the water system and capacity. The first completed phase was to replace the original wells with new higher producing wells. The second completed phase was to improve the water treatment plant to handle the new wells and upgraded production ability. The third phase is to construct a new 200,000 gallon water storage tank which will be completed in the future.
